Fleischmann and Floro Awards
Cash awards are made to graduating high school students with outstanding academic achievement and strong community service. Financial need is not a requirement.
Fleischmann Awards
A total of 19 Fleischmann Awards of $2,000 each and one $3,000 Spaulding Award (given to the top Fleischmann Award recipient) are available for students throughout Santa Barbara County. In addition, each recipient will be allocated $500 to grant to the nonprofit organization of their choice.
Floro Awards
Floro Awards of $2,500 are available to applicants from the Santa Maria area, specifically students residing within the Santa Maria School District area who attend any high school in Santa Barbara County.
Eligibility - Applicants must:
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (green card).
- Have attended at least four of the six years between grades 7-12 at a Santa Barbara County school AND graduate or receive a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) from a Santa Barbara County high school by June 2013.
- Be planning to attend an approved college or university full-time as an undergraduate or as a medical or graduate student.
2014-2015 applications will be available starting October 1, 2013 and must be received by the Scholarship Foundation by November 15, 2013.

Breitling College Visit Scholarship Program
These awards were established to assist female students in paying for expenses related to visiting college campuses outside California, helping them make informed decisions on their college choice. Applicants must be nominated by a high school counselor or principal.
Eligibility - Applicants must:
- >Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident (green card).
- Have attended at least four of the six secondary grade years at a Santa Barbara County school and graduated or receive a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) from a Santa Barbara County high school.
- Be planning to enroll in a full-time program at an accredited college or university outside the state of California.
- Be nominated by their high school counselor or principal (only one nominated student will be accepted from each high school).
- Submit an application, transcript, essay, and letter of recommendation from their high school counselor or principal and be in need of financial assistance as verified by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and Student Aid Report (SAR).
