Disaster Relief Resources for Hurricane Helene and Milton

On September 26th, Hurricane Helene, a Category 4 hurricane, made landfall on Florida’s Gulf Coast, causing widespread devastation throughout the region. Over 3 million people have lost power across Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas, and southern Virginia, with hundreds of roads still closed, hindering vital relief efforts.

With Hurricane Milton surging to a Category 5 storm and expected to make landfall in Florida this week, the need for aid will continue to grow. For those looking to support ongoing relief efforts, The National Council on Foundations — of which the Santa Barbara Foundation is an affiliate — has compiled a list of trusted organizations providing reliable outlets for donations to support relief efforts.
