Please help us showcase the very best of Santa Barbara’s culinary, wine, and farm communities. The SBCE, in partnership with The Julia Child Foundation for Gastronomy and the Culinary Arts, is an annual celebration of all things food & drink in Santa Barbara County. In addition to our week-long series of events every May, the SBCE hosts food & drink centered pop-ups throughout the year.
The SBCE’s mission is to shine a light on our local culinary, hospitality, tourism, artisan, and small business communities through unique events which foster learning, discovery and fun. Through our partnership with The Julia Child Foundation, a portion of the proceeds from all SBCE events is used to make grants to local nonprofit organizations making a difference in Santa Barbara County’s food system.
This year’s SBCE takes place May 12-18, 2025 throughout Santa Barbara County and will feature 50+ special dinners; wine tastings; farm, food & winery tours; culinary instruction and cooking classes; and, cookbook author events, including the annual Grand Wine Tasting, which gathers vintners from across Santa Barbara wine country at El Presidio, on May 17, 2025.
The SBCE is entirely supported by generous donors to its fund at the Santa Barbara Foundation. We rely on the community to help make it happen and we couldn’t do it without the spirit of giving that pervades Santa Barbara. Donations — of any size — are critical to our success.
Donors contributing $250 or more receive recognition as SBCE Supporters throughout the SBCE week-long series of May events.
Donors contributing $1,000 or more receive 2 VIP tickets to the Grand Wine Tasting in addition to recognition as SBCE Patrons throughout the SBCE week-long series of May events.
Together, we can ensure that Santa Barbara County’s vibrant food & drink communities continue to grow and thrive. Thank you for supporting our mission and making a difference in our food system!
