I’m ready to GIVE NOW

Make a Difference for Our Neighbors in Need

A behavioral health grant funded by SBF donors helped build the workshops that helped Maria identify and respond to her own mental health challenges.

When you give to the Santa Barbara Foundation’s Community Engagement Fund, your contribution supports programs that serve our neighbors in need.

A shelter & safety grant funded by SBF donors helped build the programs that helped Randall move into transitional housing—a fully furnished apartment of his own.

• Ensure basic needs are met for our most vulnerable residents by supporting organizations that provide food, shelter and safety, behavioral health and health care, and more.

• Help working families with essentials such as quality child care.

• Advance affordable housing to create positive outcomes for children when they have a stable place to live.

• Strengthen our nonprofit sector, through SBF’s Collaboration for Social Impact, which provides grants and other resources to build capacity and keep our service organizations sustainable.

When you give $1,000 or more to the Community Engagement Fund in a single year, you’ll be recognized as a “Community Champion.”

  • Avoid taxes on transfers of up to $100,000 from your IRA
  • Satisfy some or all of your required minimum distribution for the year
  • Reduce your taxable income, even if you do not itemize deductions
  • Make a gift that is not subject to the deduction limits on charitable gifts
