2023 Board Leadership Institute is now accepting applications!
The Center for Nonprofit Leadership at California Lutheran University is now accepting applications for the 2023 Board Leadership Institute.
The Santa Barbara Foundation understands that a strong board is key to a nonprofit’s success. The Foundation partners with the Center for Nonprofit Leadership to help nonprofit boards grow their leadership skills to advance their organization’s mission and impact.
The five-month certificate program aims to enhance the knowledge and skills among nonprofit board members and their head of staff. The program’s goal is to improve board governance practices and fiduciary oversight, and to develop board members’ skills and abilities to steward their nonprofit organization. Organizations are encouraged to participate in teams of up to four, with one lead staff member and up to three board members. Sessions run from July to November.
The application deadline is June 16, 2023
Pricing/Cost:
Not-Yet-an-Organizational Member: $150 per team
CNL Organizational Members: no additional fee to participate
Program fees for a team of up to four (4) people include digital program
materials, and access to the Board Leadership Institute portal of resources.
