To build a more resilient community, the Santa Barbara Foundation is developing strategies to support working families, who are quickly falling behind in terms of security and opportunity. We are focusing organizational resources on three interrelated areas that directly affect the working family -increasing affordable and accessible child care opportunities, building job skills through effective workforce development and creating more workforce housing for a growing region.
